Russell Ackoff on "Beyond Continuous Improvement"

Over time I like to share insights on Systems Thinking and there is no one better than the late Russell Ackoff to learn from. He is humurous (his introduction is a classic) and has a way of explaining Systems Thinking that makes it accessible.

In a world where continuous improvement is a maxim of most organisations, enjoy this short speech.

  1. Brilliant Gary Thanks for sharing

  2. Thanks Ian.
To have such a high intellect and have a sense of humour is compelling, isn't it!
I do enjoy re-visiting Ackoff's work and i wonder if he will be like many artists in that his work will be more appreciated for the fact that he has passed.
"Doing the wrong thing right is far worse than doing the right thing wrong". I have always loved that statement.

  3. WOW! So good in so many ways. Thanks for sharing Gary

  4. My pleasure Hubba. I was fortunate to have been introduced to Russell Ackoff's work in the mid 1990s and his messages are indeed so good in many ways.
